Lynn (Jordi) Peterson
Pottery Artist

Lynn Peterson is also known as “JORDI” and “The Soap Queen”… “JORDI” Turns mental images and designs into a physical explosion of art. Lynn’s art is always expressive, creative and fun. Her art crosses many mediums. Her pottery is at the Art Station. “The Soap Queen” makes TaDa Soap. It is made with CAMELINA oil that is high is Omega 3 and natural Vitamin E. It is mixed by hand, cut by hand, boxed by hand, labeled by hand. She calls is “HAND”led with care!

My life-long love of the outdoors and my indoor studio time are a natural combination or expression in my pieces.  I like to step off the beaten path and explore all the options.  Texture is extremely important as a design element.  Textural qualities come directly from nature or are deliberately incorporated into my work.  The three dimensional art of pottery and sculpture becomes a tactile playground.  This transforms the mundane into the exceptional.  The simplicity and purity of line gives way to the explosion of texture and color.  It is an emotional and sensory adventure.  Thinking and working for me are a playful encounter of ideas that infuse my whole life.  Art allows my body and mind to unite and my spirit to soar.   IT’S MAGIC!
