Skye Evers
Ceramic Artist / Painter

Skye’s 2010 collection was inspired by her equine neighbors. On her many walk on the dirt roads of Story, Skye observed horses of many colors and character. This year’s collection of “Artfully Functional Pottery” and her newest paintings reflect the colors and spirit of both the scenery and subjects.

Skye lives in Story, Wyoming with her husband Cal and their little dog Tess. They enjoy camping, hiking, and kayaking in the Big Horn Mountains during the spring and summer. These adventures provide the inspiration for her work. Long hikes contribute to the colors, shapes and subjects for her paintings and sculptures. When Skye is creating she retreats into her own little world. Whether painting or working with clay, Skye finds a sense of peace and tranquility, making the time fly by.

Skye’s work is currently available at Lucinda’s Artisan Gallery in Sheridan, The Potter’s Depot in Buffalo, the Story Art Station and at the Sheridan 3rd Thursday Street Festival.
